Abstract

There is disclosed a foil system for hydrofoil vessels, where the foil system lifts and carries the total weight of the craft at speed, and comprising a number of adjustable control fins/-surfaces (3-5), supporting legs (7-9) between the foil system and the hull of the vessel, and means to adjust the control fins/-surfaces. The foil system is characterized in that it is formed by one single approximately horizontal foil body comprising two generally mirror symmetric foil arms (1, 2) which extend aft to each side in almost equal angle, in that the forward corner of the angle lies in the centre line (11) of the craft, and the foil arms extend aft to each side in an almost equal angle (12) with the longitudinal centreline (11) of the craft.

La présente invention concerne un système de plan hydrodynamique destiné à des navires à ailes portantes. Ce système à plans hydrodynamiques soulève et porte le poids total du vaisseau lancé en vitesse, et il comprend un certain nombre de dérives/surfaces (3-5) de commande réglables supportant des parties (7-9) entre le système à plans hydrodynamiques et la coque du navire, et des moyens permettant de régler les dérives/surfaces de commande. Ce système à plans hydrodynamiques est caractérisé par le fait qu'il est formé d'un seul corps à plans hydrodynamiques approximativement horizontal qui comprend deux bras hydrodynamiques (1, 2) présentant généralement une symétrie spéculaire (1, 2),et se prolongeant sur l'arrière, de chaque côté, selon un angle presque identique. Il est également caractérisé par le fait que le coin avant de l'angle est situé sur la ligne médiane (11) du vaisseau, et que les bras hydrodynamiques se prolongent sur l'arrière, de chaque côté de la ligne médiane (11) longitudinale du vaisseau, selon un angle presque identique (12).
