Abstract

The invention is directed towards an arrangement for the suspension of a wheel (1) of an automotive vehicle, said wheel (1) being connected to a propulsion device (9) for driving the vehicle and a braking device (21) for braking each individual wheel (1). The invention is characterised by comprising sensors (37, 38, 39) for detecting at least the angular steering displacement of the vehicle required by the vehicle driver, two steering link arms (16, 16') fitted between said body (19) and attachment points (17, 17') in said wheel (1), positioned on both sides of an imaginary vertical line (33) running through the centre of the wheel (1), and a control unit (36) for processing signals from said sensors (37, 38, 39) and for actuating said steering link arms (16, 16') for adjustment of said wheel (1) in response to said signals and the current operating state of the vehicle. Through the invention, an improved, integrated wheel suspension unit for automotive vehicles is provided, particularly allowing dynamic wheel alignment adjustment and adjustment of the angular steering displacement of each individual wheel (1) of the vehicle.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de suspension de roue (1) de véhicule automobile, la roue (1) étant reliée à un dispositif de propulsion (9) entraînant l'automobile et à un dispositif de freinage (21) servant à freiner chaque roue (1). L'invention comporte des capteurs (37, 38, 39) qui permettent au moins de détecter les changements d'angle de la direction de l'automobile demandés par le conducteur, deux bielles de barre de direction (16, 16') placées entre le corps (19) et les points de fixation (17, 17') de la roue (1), et situés de part et d'autre d'une ligne verticale imaginaire (33) passant par le centre de la roue (1). L'invention comprend également une unité de commande (36) chargée de traiter les signaux des capteurs (37, 38, 39) et d'actionner les bielles de barre de direction (16, 16') de façon à orienter la roue (1) en réponse aux signaux et à l'état de marche actuel de l'automobile. L'invention permet d'obtenir une unité de suspension de roue améliorée et intégrée qui permet, en particulier, d'orienter dynamiquement la roue ainsi que les changements de l'angle de braquage de chaque roue (1) de l'automobile.
