Abstract

The invention concerns a tyre with radial body ply reinforcement (1), anchored in each bead B at an anchoring bead core (2) to form a turn-up (10) characterised in that, axially on the outside of said turn-up (10) of the body ply reinforcement (1), is arranged a section (5) of vulcanised rubber mixture whereof the secant modulus of elasticity in tension measured for a relative elongation of 10 % is much higher than similar moduli of the other mixtures which constitute the bead B, the main part of said body ply reinforcement (1) between its point of tangency T at the anchoring bead core (2) and a point A located at a radial distance HA from the base D of the bead cores, ranging between 35 % and 65 % of the radial distance HE separating the points of maximum axial width of said body ply reinforcement (1) from said base D, with a substantially rectilinear meridian profile.

Pneumatique à armature de carcasse radiale (1), ancrée dans chaque bourrelet B à une tringle d'ancrage (2) pour former un retournement (10), caractérisé en ce que, axialement à l'extérieur du retournement (10) d'armature de carcasse (1), est disposé un profilé (5) de mélange vulcanisé de caoutchouc dont le module sécant d'élasticité en tension mesuré pour un allongement relatif de 10 % est très supérieur aux modules de même nom des autres mélanges constituant le bourrelet B, la partie principale de ladite armature de carcasse (1), entre son point de tangence T à la tringle d'ancrage (2) et un point A situé à une distance radiale HA de la base D des bourrelets, comprise entre 35 % et 65 % de la distance radiale HE séparant les points de largeur axiale maximale de ladite armature de carcasse (1) de ladite base D, présentant un profil méridien sensiblement rectiligne.
