Abstract

A water jacket assembly for use in injection mold systems (10), and particularly with heterocavity injection mold systems. The water jacket assembly comprises a sleeve (20) construction of material with high heat-transfer properties. A conduit (40) is beveled into the outside perimeter of the sleeve (20) forming a circulation channel. The inside perimeter of the sleeve is fashioned to receive an individual injection mold (30). A mold base (50) slideably receives the water jacket and cooling fluid is circulated from the mold base (50) through circulation channel in the water jacket, and then back to the mold base (50). A fluid input plug (60a) and fluid output plug (60b) extend from the mold base (50) and are received by the apparatus in the individual mold (30) for additional cooling.

L'invention porte sur un ensemble à chemise d'eau destiné à être utilisé dan s des systèmes (10) de moulage par injection, et notamment avec des systèmes de moulage par injection à cavités différentes. L'ensemble à chemise d'eau comprend une structure de manchon (20) conçue dans un matériau présentant d'excellentes propriétés de transfert thermique. Un conduit (40) est biseauté dans le périmètre extérieur du manchon (20) formant un canal de circulation. Le périmètre intérieur du manchon est conçu de façon à recevoir un moule (30) individuel. La base (50) du moule accueille de manière coulissante la chemise d'eau, et un fluide de refroidissement circule, de la base (50) du moule au canal de circulation, dans la chemise d'eau et revient ensuite à la base (50) du moule. Un bouchon (60a) placé à l'entrée du fluide et un autre (60b) à la sortie du fluide s'étendent depuis la base (50) du moule et sont accueillis dans les orifices du moule (30) individuel pour un refroidissement supplémentaire.
