The invention concerns a refractory brazing composition, and a method for assembling parts made of alumina-based materials together or with metal or metal alloy parts by reactive or non-reactive refractory brazing, with said brazing composition, so as to produce assemblies made entirely of alumina or comprising alumina and a metal or a metal alloy. The invention also concerns a refractory joint and the resulting assembly. Said brazing composition is a composition non-reactive with alumina or a reactive composition, whereof the reactivity with alumina is controlled and it consists of aluminium, titanium, and a matrix consisting of either palladium, or nickel, or an alloy of nickel and palladium.

La présente invention est relative à une composition de brasure réfractaire, et à un procédé d'assemblage de pièces en matériaux à base d'alumine avec elles-mêmes ou avec des pièces en métal ou en alliage métallique par brasage réfractaire réactif ou non-réactif, avec ladite composition de brasure, afin de réaliser des assemblages entièrement en alumine ou comprenant de l'alumine et un métal ou alliage métallique. L'invention a également trait au joint réfractaire et à l'assemblage ainsi obtenus. Cette composition de brasure est une composition non réactive avec l'alumine ou une composition réactive, dont la réactivité avec l'alumine est contrôlée et elle est constituée d'aluminium, de titane, et d'une matrice constituée soit de palladium, soit de nickel, soit d'un alliage de nickel et de palladium.
