An arc welding method capable of suppressing the generation of spattering while suppressing the amount of gas supplied to the welding portion, wherein a welding wire (8) is brought into contact with a work (W) while applying a voltage between the welding wire (8) and the work (W), and the end of the welding wire (8) that is melted is welded to the work (W). The electric resistance between the welding wire (8) and the work (W) is continuously found while the welding wire (8) is in contact with the work (W), in order to detect a minimum value of the electric resistance. When the application of a voltage between the welding wire (8) and the work (W) is temporarily discontinued after the minimum value of the electric resistance is detected, the end of the welding wire (8) is not likely to burst, suppressing the scattering of molten droplets, which cause spattering, from the molten wire (8).

L'invention concerne un procédé de soudage à l'arc permettant d'éliminer la génération de projections tout en supprimant la quantité de gaz envoyée dans la partie de soudage, une électrode de soudure (8) étant mise en contact avec une pièce (W) au moment où une tension est appliquée entre l'électrode de soudure (8) et la pièce (W), ce qui soude l'extrémité en fusion de l'électrode de soudure (8) à la pièce (W). Les résistances électriques entre l'électrode de soudure (8) et la pièce (W) sont continuellement relevées lorsque l'électrode de soudure (8) se trouve en contact avec la pièce (W), ce qui permet de détecter une valeur minimale de la résistance électrique. Lorsqu'on arrête temporairement d'appliquer une tension entre l'électrode de soudure (8) et la pièce (W) après détection d'une valeur minimale de la résistance électrique, l'extrémité de l'électrode de soudure (8) ne risque pas d'éclater, ce qui empêche la projection de gouttelettes fondues provenant de l'électrode de soudure (8) en fusion.
