A molecular sieve apparatus and magnetic/absorbent material composition facilitate molecular absorption and separation using a magnetic field to hold, move, cool, and/or heat an absorbent (1) that is bonded to magnetic materials (3) that are moveable by a magnetic field. An absorbent (1) is bonded to a soft magnetic material (3) with a binder (2) into a powder composite material absorbent that is attractable by a magnetic field. This new composite powder is referred to hereinafter as a magnetoabsorbent (4). The magnetoabsorbent (4) functions to absorb and deabsorb working substances, causing a molecular separation; thus, increasing the efficiency of the absorption cycle by moving the absorbent (1) to a location that processes the absorbent (1) in the most optimized conditions. Magnetic field manipulation of absorbents (1) provides the ability to deliver molecules to locations within systems. Magnetoabsorbents (4) of the present invention further increase the efficiency of the absorption cycle by combining materials with functions including: catalyst, buoyancy, suspension, magnetic heating, and sinking in liquid.

L'invention concerne un dispositif du type tamis moléculaire ainsi qu'une composition de matériau magnétique/absorbant, facilitant l'absorption et la séparation moléculaire à l'aide d'un champ magnétique, de manière à contenir, déplacer, refroidir et/ou chauffer un absorbant (1) lié à des matériaux magnétiques (3) pouvant être déplacés par un champ magnétique. Un absorbant (1) est lié à un matériau magnétique doux (3) au moyen d'un liant (2), pour former un matériau absorbant composite en poudre, pouvant être attiré par un champ magnétique. Cette nouvelle poudre composite est dénommée ci-après un magnéto-absorbant (4), lequel a pour fonction d'absorber et de désorber des substances de travail, provoquant une séparation moléculaire, et accroissant ainsi l'efficacité du cycle d'absorption par déplacement de l'absorbant (1) vers un endroit de traitement de cet absorbant (1), dans les conditions les plus favorables. La manipulation du champ magnétique des absorbants (1) permet de délivrer des molécules dans des emplacements se situant dans des systèmes. Les magnéto-absorbants (4) de l'invention accroissent en outre l'efficacité du cycle d'absorption car ils combinent des matériaux dont les fonctions comprennent : la catalyse, la flottaison, la suspension, le chauffage magnétique et la dissipation de chaleur dans un liquide.
