Es wird ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Verteilungsvolumens eines Blutinhaltsstoffes im Körper eines Lebewesens, insbesondere des Harnstoffverteilungsvolumens, während einer extrakorporalen Blutbehandlung beschrieben, bei der das zu behandelnde Blut in einem extrakorporalen Kreislauf die Blutkammer (3) eines durch eine semipermeable Membran (2) in die Blutkammer und eine Dialysierflüssigkeitskammer (4) unterteilten Dialysators (1) durchströmt und Dialysierflüssigkeit in einem Dialysierflüssigkeitsweg die Dialysierflüssigkeitskammer des Dialysators durchströmt. Das Verfahren beruht darauf, daß aus der zeitlichen Änderung einer physikalischen oder chemischen Kenngröße der Dialysierflüssigkeit stromauf und stromab des Dialysators die zeitliche Änderung der Konzentration des Blutinhaltsstoffes im Blut stromauf des Dialysators bestimmt und aus der zeitlichen Änderung der Konzentration des Blutinhaltsstoffes im Blut das Verteilungsvolumen des Stoffes im Körper eines Lebewesens ermittelt wird. Darüber hinaus wird eine Vorrichtung zur extrakorporalen Blutbehandlung mit einer Vorrichtung zur Bestimmung des Verteilungsvolumens eines Blutinhaltsstoffes im Körper eines Lebewesens beschrieben.

The invention relates to a method for determining the volume of distribution of a blood component in the body of a living organism, especially the volume of distribution of urea, during an extracorporeal blood treatment. According to this method, the blood to be treated flows through the blood chamber (3) of a dialysis machine (1) in an extracorporeal circuit, said dialysis machine being divided into said blood chamber and a dialysing liquid chamber (4) by a semipermeable membrane (2). Dialysing liquid flows through the dialysing liquid chamber of the dialysis machine in a dialysing liquid channel. The method is based on the determination of the temporal change in the concentration of the blood component in the blood upstream of the dialysis machine using the temporal variation in a physical or chemical characteristic of the dialysing liquid upstream and downstream of the dialysis machine and the determination of the volume of distribution of the substance in the body of a living organism using the temporal variation in the concentration of the blood component in the blood. The invention also relates to a device for the extracorporeal blood treatment, comprising a device for determining the volume of distribution of a blood component in the body of a living organism.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour déterminer le volume de distribution d'un constituant sanguin dans le corps d'un être vivant, notamment le volume de distribution de l'urée, pendant un traitement sanguin extracorporel au cours duquel le sang à traiter traverse, dans un circuit extracorporel, la chambre de sang (3) d'un dialyseur (1), séparée d'une chambre de dialysat (4) par une membrane semiperméable (2), et au cours duquel le dialysat traverse la chambre de dialysat du dialyseur, en suivant un trajet de dialysat. Selon l'invention, la variation dans le temps de la concentration du constituant sanguin dans le sang est déterminée en amont du dialyseur, à partir de la variation dans le temps d'une grandeur caractéristique physique ou chimique du dialysat, en amont et en aval du dialyseur, et le volume de distribution du constituant dans le corps d'un être vivant est déterminé à partir des variations dans le temps de la concentration du constituant sanguin dans le sang. L'invention concerne également un dispositif pour effectuer un traitement sanguin extracorporel au moyen d'un dispositif pour déterminer le volume de distribution d'un constituant sanguin dans le corps d'un être vivant.
