The present invention provides novel aminoindenes having structure (1) wherein n is 1 or 2, R1 is hydrogen, linear or branched chain C1-C8 alkyl or linear or branched chain C1-C8 alkoxy and R2 is hydrogen or a halogen. Such compounds may be used to treat neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, head trauma, stroke, hypoxia, anoxia, epilepsy, convulsions, and seizures.

La présente invention porte sur de nouveaux aminoindènes ayant la structure (1) dans laquelle n vaut 1 or 2, R1 représente hydrogène, un C1-C8 alkyl à chaîne linéaire ou ramifiée ou un C1-C8 alcoxy à chaîne linéaire ou ramifiée et où R2 représente un hydrogène ou un halogène. Ces composés peuvent être utilisés pour traiter des états neurodégénératifs tels que la maladie d'Alzheimer, les traumatismes crâniens, l'apoplexie, l'hypoxie, l'anoxie, l'épilepsie, les convulsions et les attaques.
