Die Erfindung umfasst einen Gesichtsschutz (11) mit einem schichtweise aufgebauten, transparenten Schutzschild (13, 23) zur Verwendung bei Schweisserarbeiten. Der transparente Schutzschild ist mit einer aktiven Blendschutzvorrichtung (12) versehen, welche mindestens eine Flüssigkristallzelle (221) und eine für den Betrieb dieser Flüssigkristallzelle erforderliche Elektronik (222) aufweist, wobei die Flüssigkristallzelle und die Elektronik räumlich getrennt voneinander angeordnet sind. Eine solche Anordnung erlaubt die Beeinträchtigung der Sicht durch opake Bereiche im Gesichtsfeld zu minimieren, sowie die Dimension der teuren aktiven optischen Elemente auf ein Mindestmass zu reduzieren.

The invention relates to a face protection (11), comprising a transparent, multi-layer protective shield (13, 23) and intended for use during welding. The transparent protective shield is provided with an active anti-glare device (12) which comprises at least one liquid crystal cell (221) and an electronic unit (222) for operating said liquid crystal cell. The liquid crystal cell and electronic unit are positioned such that they are physically separate from each other. An arrangement of this kind makes it possibly to minimize the loss of visibility caused by opaque areas in the field of vision and to reduce the dimensions of the expensive active optical elements to a minimum.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif de protection (11) du visage comprenant un écran de protection (13, 23) à structure stratifiée, transparent, destiné à être utilisé lors du soudage. L'écran de protection transparent est doté d'un dispositif antiéblouissement (12) actif comprenant au moins une cellule (221) à cristaux liquides et un équipement électronique (222) nécessaire au fonctionnement de cette cellule à cristaux liquides, la cellule à cristaux liquides et l'équipement électronique se trouvant spatialement éloignés l'un de l'autre. Un tel dispositif permet d'une part de minimiser les problèmes d'altération de la vue grâce à des zones opaques situées au niveau du visage et d'autre part de réduire au maximum la dimension des éléments optiques actifs onéreux.Figure 2)
