Abstract

An autoclavable, abrasion resistant dental mirror (10) comprises a holder (18), and a mirror element (14) mounted in the holder. The mirror element (14) comprises a sapphire body (26), an optically reflective aluminum layer (32) on the rear surface of the sapphire body, and a protective layer (34) on the reflective layer (32).

Un miroir dentaire (10) résistant à l'abrasion et à l'autoclave comporte un support (18) dans lequel est monté un élément formant miroir (14). L'élément miroir (14) comprend un corps en saphir (26), une couche d'aluminium à réflexion optique (32) prévue sur la surface arrière du corps en saphir, et une couche de protection (34) prévue sur la couche réfléchissante (32).
