A tire rim (1) has a 5° bead seat (3) while an inclined surface (8) nearest to the outboard flange of the rim and extending between the wheel well (4) and a bead hump (5, 6) the inclined surface has a maximum inclination $g(a) of less than 65°, preferably in the range of 58° to 62°.
