(EN)An endogenous human protein designated BS69 is identified as a new modulator of the Transforming Growth Factor-$g(b) (TGF-$g(b)) cell signalling pathway. Methods are provided to identify compounds that interfere with the biological activity of BS69 on the TGF-$g(b) cell signalling pathway. Such compounds have potential as therapeutic agents.
