Abstract:
(EN) A programmed computer is used to create a digital model of an individual component of a patient's dentition. The computer obtains a 3D digital model of the patient's dentition, identifies points (766) in the dentition model that lie on an inter-proximal margin between adjacent teeth in the patient's dentition, and uses the identified points to create a cutting surface (782) that separates portions of the dentition model representing the adjacent teeth.
(FR) On utilise un ordinateur programmé pour créer un modèle numérique d'un élément particulier de la dentition d'un patient. L'ordinateur génère un modèle numérique tridimensionnel de la dentition, identifie dans le modèle de dentition des points (766) situés sur une marge entre des dents adjacentes, et utilise les points identifiés pour créer un plan de coupe (782) séparant les parties du modèle de dentition représentant les dents adjacentes.
