Transformed cells wherein a recombinant human SMBP is expressed at such a high level as enabling the assay of the ligand-binding activity by deleting the polythymidine sequence from the base sequence of the 3'-nontranslation region or the cell membrane fraction thereof; the recombinant human SMBP isolated from these transformed cells or the cell membrane fraction thereof; a method for screening a human SMBP agonist/antagonist characterized by using the above transformed cells, the cell membrane fraction thereof or the isolated recombinant human SMBP; and the human SMBP agonist/antagonist, etc. obtained by the above screening method.

L'invention concerne des cellules transformées dans lesquelles un recombinant humain SMBP est exprimé à un niveau élevé permettant la détermination de l'activité de liaison au ligand par séparation de la séquence polythymidine de la séquence de base de la région de non-translation 3' ou de la fraction de membrane cellulaire de celles-ci. L'invention concerne également le recombinant humain SMBP isolé de ces cellules transformées ou de la fraction de membrane cellulaire de celles-ci, un procédé de dépistage d'un agoniste/antagoniste SMBP humain caractérisé en ce qu'on utilise les cellules transformées précitées, la fraction de membrane cellulaire de celles-ci ou le recombinant humain SMBP isolé, ainsi que l'agoniste/antagoniste SMBP humain, etc. obtenu par le procédé de dépistage précité.
