A radio (11) or television apparatus (Fig. 4) has tuning circuitry for selecting a channel from an input spectrum, an output for presenting a presentation from a selected channel, a recording apparatus (17 or 45) having a memory with capacity for recording a fixed time duration T of the selected presentation, and adapted to make an audio record sequentially in a circular fashion, such that when the memory capacity is filled, the device continues to record, overwriting the oldest recorded information, providing thereby, at any point in time, a stored copy of time duration T immediately preceding the point in time. This innovation provides limited rewind capability for real-time data streams. In alternative embodiments add-on devices (Fig. 2 and Fig. 5) are provided for existing radios and TVs.

L'invention concerne un système de radiodiffusion sonore (11) ou télévisuelle (figure 4) équipé d'un circuit de syntonisation qui permet de sélectionner une voie dans un spectre d'entrée, et doté par ailleurs d'une sortie qui permet de présenter le programme d'une voie sélectionnée, ainsi que d'un dispositif d'enregistrement (17 ou 45) qui comporte une mémoire ayant la capacité requise pour enregistrer une durée T fixe du programme sélectionné. Ce dispositif permet de réaliser séquentiellement un enregistrement audio de manière circulaire, moyennant quoi le dispositif poursuit l'enregistrement lorsque la mémoire est arrivée à pleine capacité. Ce faisant, le dispositif efface l'enregistrement le plus ancien, fournissant donc à tel ou tel moment une copie sauvegardée de durée T précédant immédiatement le moment considéré. Il existe une fonction de rembobinage limitée pour les flux de données en temps réel. A titre de variantes, des dispositifs d'adjonction (figures 2 et 5) sont prévus pour les systèmes de radiodiffusion sonore et télévisuelle existants.
