(EN)The present invention relates to a strain of Alcaligenes latus bacteria TKhD-13 VKPM V 75-05 (Russian classification of industrial micro-organisms) used for the decomposition of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB). This invention can be used for the decontamination of objects in the environment or industrial waste which contain PCB. In order to produce a biomass, the strain is cultivated in media containing carbon and nitrogen sources as well as mineral salts. The strain is cultivated according to a submerged process until a titre of between 6.0.10?8¿ and 2.0.10?9¿ kilolitre/cm?3¿ is reached. The biomass obtained in concentrations of between 10?7¿ and 10?8¿ kilolitre/cm?3¿ is then used for the decomposition of PCB. The strain of the present invention is capable of reducing the PCB-content in soil and water by 35 to 50 %.
(FR)Cette invention concerne une souche de bactéries $i(Alcaligenes latus) TKhD-13 VKPM V 75-05 (classification des micro-organismes industriels de Russie) qui permet de décomposer des biphényles polychlorés (BPC). Cette invention peut être utilisée afin de décontaminer des objets appartenant au milieu environnant ainsi que des déchets industriels qui contiennent des BPC. Afin d'obtenir une biomasse, la souche est cultivée dans des milieux comportant des sources de carbone et d'azote ainsi que des sels minéraux. La souche est cultivée selon un procédé d'immersion jusqu'à ce que l'on atteigne un titre de 6,010?8¿ à 2,010?9¿ kilolitres/cm?3¿. La biomasse obtenue dans des concentrations de 10?7¿ à 10?8¿ kilolitres/cm?3¿ est utilisée afin de décomposer les BPC. Cette souche permet de réduire de 35 à 50 % le contenu du sol et de l'eau en BPC.
