A method for excavating safely and quickly a tunnel having a large section in which the bedlock near the tunnel is improved and reinforced over the full length of the tunnel construction zone and artificial bedlock arches are built. A top heading (2) is excavated through the full length of the construction zone of the tunnel (1), and curve boring is effected from the top heading (2) at predetermined interval along the periphery of the section of the tunnel (1). A steel pipe (3) is laid in each bored hole and a grouting material is injected into the bedlock near the tunnel from the steel pipe (3) to build artificial bedlock arches (4). Thereafter, the tunnel (1) is excavated, concrete is placed by advancing a suspension form (6) and secondary lining is done.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'excavation sûr et rapide d'un tunnel présentant une section importante dans lequel le terrain adjacent au tunnel est amélioré et renforcé sur toute la longueur de la zone de construction du tunnel, comprenant la construction de cintres en roche artificielle. On excave une galerie (2) pilote à travers toute la longueur de la zone de construction du tunnel (1) et on procède à un forage courbe à partir de la galerie (2) pilote à des intervalles prédéterminées le long de le périphérie de la section du tunnel (1). On place ensuite un tube (3) d'acier dans chaque trou de forage et on injecte un matériau d'injection dans la roche proche du tunnel à parti du tube (3) d'acier afin de construire des cintres (4) de roche artificielle. Ensuite on excave le tunnel (1) on place le béton lors de l'avancement de la voûte (6) puis on applique le revêtement secondaire.
