Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for actuating a gas exchange valve with an electromagnetic actuator, having an opening magnet and a closing magnet. An axially displaceable armature is arranged between the pole faces of said magnets, which alternately comes into contact with the thrust face on the pole faces of the magnets and which is stopped at least in front of a pole face by a damping device. According to the invention, the damping device consists of a separate damping element with a damping piston and a cylinder, which can be displaced towards each other and dampened by a non-gaseous medium.
