(EN)Disclosed and claimed is an efficient process for extraction of metals from ores using carbon catalyzed leaching. Specifically exemplified is the extraction of cobalt and nickel from laterite ore by hot leaching in the presence of ferric subsulfate or of sulfuric acid used in a low concentration.
(FR)La description et les revendications se rapportent à un processus efficace d'extraction de métaux de minerais au moyen de la lixiviation catalysée au carbone. On a spécialement pris a titre d'exemple l'extraction de cobalt et de nickel de minerais de latérite par lixiviation à chaud avec faible teneur en sous-sulfate ferrique ou en acide sulfurique.
