Abstract
(EN) A tubular lock of the kind having a body and a barrel assembly which is mounted within the body for relative rotation about an axis. The assembly includes a tubular sleeve (4) and a number of disc tumblers located within the sleeve (4) so that each is rotatable relative to the sleeve and relative to one another about the axis. A side locking bar (9) is operative to prevent rotation of the assembly relative to the body, and that bar is rendered inoperative by insertion of a correct key into the lock keyway. The disc tumblers rotate in response to insertion of a key into the keyway and include a number of standard tumblers and a special tumbler. The locking bar (9) is inoperative when each standard tumbler is at a service position of rotation and the special tumber is at either a service position or a second function position of rotation. A service key (20) is operable to place all tumblers at the service position, and a special change key is operable to place the special tumber at the second function position and to place all other tumblers at the service position. When the special tumbler is at the second function position it releases a movable detent (23) which is otherwise operative to prevent axial removal of the assembly (2) from the body. But such removal is not possible until the change key is turned to rotate the assembly to a position at which a fixed detent (28) is aligned with a longitudinal groove (33) of the body. The key (20) is formed by use of a computer controlled machine which enables selection of any one of a number of key forming operation sequences, each of which produces a key (20) having characteristics to suit a particular lock.
(FR) Cette invention porte sur une serrure tubulaire du type à corps et à ensemble barillet monté dans le corps de manière à effectuer une rotation relative autour d'un axe. Cet ensemble comporte un manchon (4) ainsi qu'un certain nombre de gorges ménagées dans le manchon (4), chacun d'elles pouvant effectuer une rotation relativement au manchon et relativement à l'autre autour de l'axe. Une tringle latérale de verrouillage (9), servant à empêcher la rotation de l'ensemble relativement au corps, est rendue inopérante par l'introduction de la bonne clef dans le trou de serrure. Au nombre de ces gorges, qui tournent après l'introduction de la clef dans le trou de serrure, figurent des gorges classiques et une gorge spéciale. La tringle latérale de verrouillage (9) est inopérante lorsque chaque gorge classique est en position de service pour rotation et lorsque la gorge spéciale se trouve, soit dans une première position de service, soit dans une seconde position de fonction pour rotation. Une clef de service (20) permet de mettre toutes les gorges en position de service tandis qu'une clef particulière met, d'une part, la gorge spéciale en position de fonction et, d'autre part, toutes les autres les gorges en position de service. Une fois en position de fonction, la gorge spéciale libère une tige d'arrêt mobile (23) qui a, sinon, pour fonction d'interdire à l'ensemble (2) un déplacement axial le faisant sortir du corps. Ce déplacement est impossible tant que la clef particulière n'a pas été tournée pour amener par rotation l'ensemble à une position dans laquelle un cran fixe (28) se trouve aligné avec une gorge longitudinale (33) du corps. On fabrique cette clef (20) au moyen d'une machine assistée par ordinateur permettant de sélectionner l'une quelconque des séquences d'opération de façonnage de clef, chacune permettant de fabriquer une clef (20) dont les caractéristiques conviennent à une serrure particulière.
