Title: VEHICULAR BRAKE SYSTEM ARRANGEMENT FOR PREVENTING PRESSURE CROSS TALK DURING VSC MANEUVER
Abstract:
A vehicle brake system (10, 110, 600) includes a master cylinder (12, 112) for pressurising brake fluid. A pair of wheel brakes (30, 31, 130, 131) are placed in fluid communication with said master cylinder (12, 112) via a fluid conduit (26, 126, 626). A pump (54) having a pump inlet (54a) and a pump outlet (54b) is provided for pressurising fluid in said fluid conduit (26, 126, 626). A medium-pressure accumulator (66) for storing pressurised fluid is placed in fluid communication with the pump (54). A priming valve (70) located between the pump inlet (54a) and the medium-pressure accumulator (66) regulates the flow of pressurised fluid from said medium-pressure accumulator (66) to said pump (54). A charging valve (72) located between the pump outlet (54b) and the medium-pressure accumulator (66) regulates the flow of pressurised fluid out of said medium-pressure accumulator (66) into said wheel brakes (30, 31, 130, 131) and for allowing pressurised fluid to flow into said medium-pressure accumulator (66). The system (10, 110, 600) includes means (18, 56, 156, 648) for preventing pressure cross talk between said pair of wheel brakes (30, 31, 130, 131) wherein said means (18, 56, 156, 648) for preventing pressure cross talk is in fluid communication with said wheel brakes (30, 31, 130, 131).
