Abstract:
(EN) An ultrasonic imaging system (10) uses first (20), and second (22) perpendicular arrays. The first array (20) is operated at high-power to selectively destroy contrast agent suspended in flowing blood in discrete regions. The second array (22) is used to image the alternating bands of contrast agent depleted blood, and contrast image containing blood in order to allow blood flow characteristics to be assessed.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système d'imagerie à ultrasons (10) dans lequel on utilise des premier (20) et deuxième (22) réseaux perpendiculaires. Le premier réseau (20) fonctionne à puissance élevée pour détruire sélectivement l'agent de contraste en suspension dans le sang circulant dans des régions séparées. Le deuxième réseau (22) est utilisé pour l'imagerie des bandes alternées de sang appauvri en agent de contraste et de sang contenant l'agent de contraste, pour la détermination des caractéristiques de l'écoulement sanguin.
