Abstract:
(EN) Methods of monitoring environmental variables in general and chemical composition in particular, and sensors for such monitoring. These low-cost sensors comprise multiple layers in a laminated stack. Very high numbers of sensing layers (e.g., 500) may be incorporated into a single laminated sensor device. The sensors may signal changes in environmental state such as chemical composition due to changes in sensor properties such as resistivity, capacitance, inductance, permittivity, permeability, refractive index, chromaticity, transparency to light, reflection characteristics, resonance frequency, and/or magnetic characteristics.
(FR) Cette invention concerne des procédés permettant de surveiller d'une manière générale des variables environnementales et d'une manière plus particulière la composition chimique, ainsi que des capteurs permettant d'effectuer cette surveillance. Les capteurs peu coûteux de cette invention sont constitués de plusieurs couches empilées les unes sur les autres. De très grandes quantités de couches de détection (par exemple 500) peuvent être empilées pour former un unique dispositif de capteur multicouche. Les capteurs peuvent signaler des changements qui interviennent dans l'état de l'environnement tels que la modification de la composition chimique due à des changements dans les propriétés du détecteur tels que la résistivité, la capacité, l'inductance, la permittivité, la perméabilité, l'index de réfraction, la chromaticité, la transparence à la lumière, les caractéristiques de réflexion, la fréquence de résonance et/ou les caractéristiques magnétiques.
