Abstract
(EN) A damping paint for application to automobiles, interior materials, building materials, domestic electric appliances and the like in their places where a vibration is created. The paint comprises mica flakes having a weight-average aspect ratio of 20 to 60 and contained in a coating component having a glass transition temperature of -20 to 80 °C and, when applied to the above various fields, can form a damping layer having a vibrational energy absorption capacity much superior to the conventional damping paints in the service temperature range.
(FR) L'invention concerne une peinture amortissante à appliquer sur les automobiles, les matériaux d'intérieur, les matériaux de construction, les appareils électroménagers et similaire, aux endroits où des vibrations sont créées. Ladite peinture comprend des paillettes de mica ayant un rapport poids-largeur/longueur moyen de 20 à 60 et enfermées dans un composant de revêtement ayant une température de transition vitreuse de -20 à 80 °C. Ladite peinture, lorsqu'elle est utilisée dans les domaines précités, peut former une couche amortissante ayant une capacité d'absorption de l'énergie de vibration nettement supérieure à celle des peintures amortissantes classiques, dans la plage de températures de service.
