Abstract
(EN) A transducer for measuring torque in a rotating shaft at least partially surrounded by a fixed housing. The transducer comprises an optical displacement sensing means, an optical transmission means, and an optical-electric converter means. The optical displacement sensing means residing on the shaft and modulating a light signal input to provide a light signal output relating to the magnitude of torque. The light signal output communicated to the optical-electric converter means via the optical transmission means. The optical transmission means comprising an optical clock spring, the optical-electric converter means either mounted to the housing or external to the housing. The optical clock spring comprising one or more flexible fiber optical cables, each cable arranged to be of sufficient length to allow the measurement of the magnitude of torque over a predetermined angular range of rotation of the shaft and the optical-electric converter means thereby providing an electrical output signal relating to the magnitude of the torque in the shaft.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un transducteur utilisé pour mesurer le couple d'un arbre rotatif au moins partiellement entouré d'un corps fixe. Ce transducteur comprend un dispositif optique de prise de mouvement, un dispositif de transmission optique et un convertisseur opto-électrique. Le dispositif optique de prise de mouvement est placé sur l'arbre et module une entrée de signal lumineux pour générer une sortie de signal lumineux par rapport à l'amplitude du couple. La sortie de signal lumineux est transmise au convertisseur opto-électrique par le dispositif de transmission optique. Ce dernier comprend un ressort d'horloge optique, le convertisseur opto-électrique étant monté soit sur le corps, soit à l'extérieur de celui-ci. Le ressort d'horloge optique comprend un ou plusieurs câbles de fibres optiques flexibles, chaque câble étant disposé de façon à avoir une longueur suffisante pour permettre la mesure de l'amplitude du couple sur une plage angulaire prédéterminée de rotation de l'arbre, le convertisseur opto-électrique générant ainsi un signal de sortie électrique par rapport à l'amplitude du couple de l'arbre.
