Abstract
(EN) A brushless permanent magnet DC motor for use in a traction drive system has power density and high efficiency. The motor includes a multiple turn, fast insertion, double wave winding which does not have distinct interconnection wires between the coils (the interconnections are part of the coils), and the end turns are distributed on both sides of the stator core so as to minimize the size of the end turns. The housing is part of the stator and has integral, radially extending, circumferentially space cooling fins so that there is no thermal gap, or thermal contact, resistance between separate housing and stator components. The motor includes bearings mounting a shaft of the rotor of the motor, and structures for positively maintaining the bearings concentric with the stator to provide optimized service life. A stator assembly, per se, having novel windings may be utilized in other motors, and a novel method of winding a stator that is simple yet achieves the desired results of efficiency and minimized cost, are also provided.
(FR) L'invention a pour objet un moteur c.c. sans balais à aimant permanent, utilisé dans un système d'entraînement par traction et possédant une densité de puissance ainsi qu'une efficacité élevée. Le moteur comprend un enroulement à onde double, à spires multiples et à insertion rapide, qui est exempt de fils d'interconnexion distincts entre les bobines (les interconnexions faisant partie des bobines). On a réparti les spires terminales des deux côtés du noyau du stator de manière à réduire leur taille au minimum. Le boîtier, qui fait partie du stator, possède des ailettes de refroidissement intégrées qui s'étendent radialement et sont régulièrement disposées autour de la circonférence; on évite ainsi la résistance due au vide ou au contact thermiques entre les composants séparés du corps et du stator. Le moteur comprend des paliers, qui supportent un arbre de rotor du moteur, et des structures servant à maintenir les paliers strictement concentriques par rapport au stator afin d'assurer une durée de vie optimale du moteur. L'invention concerne également un assemblage de stator muni de nouveaux enroulements, qui peut être utilisé tel quel dans d'autres moteurs, ainsi qu'un nouveau procédé de bobinage du stator qui, malgré sa simplicité, permet d'atteindre les résultats désirés en termes d'efficacité et de coûts réduits.
