Abstract
(EN) A method of generating power by passing a dimethyl ether-containing fuel to a dry low NOx combustor of a fired turbine-combustor in the presence of an oxygen-containing gas for combustion in the combustor to form flue gas, and then passing the flue gas to the turbine to generate power, wherein the fuel comprises a mixture of dimethyl ether; at least one alcohol and, optionally, a component selected from the group consisting of water and C1-C6 alkanes. The fuel composition used in the inventive method permits a safe and highly efficient operation of a dry low NOx combustion system, while at the same time, minimizing the generation of NOx and carbon monoxide emissions.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé qui permet de produire de l'énergie en faisant passer un combustible, contenant du diméthyléther, dans une chambre de combustion à sec à faible émission de NOx d'un système de turbine allumée, en présence d'un gaz contenant de l'oxygène pour combustion, dans la chambre de combustion de façon à obtenir un gaz de combustion. Ledit gaz de combustion passe, ensuite, dans la turbine de façon à produire de l'énergie. Le combustible comprend un mélange de diméthyléther, au moins un alcool et, éventuellement, un composant sélectionné dans le groupe constitué d'eau et de C1-C6 alcanes. La composition de combustible utilisée dans le procédé de l'invention permet un fonctionnement sûr et hautement efficace d'un système de combustion à sec à faible émission de NOx tout en réduisant la production d'émissions de NOx et de monoxyde de carbone.
