Abstract
(EN) In casting metal objects in casting cavities (2) in moulds (1), connectable to a pressurized mould-filling furnace (5) through a delivery tube (8) and a connector (9), the main novel feature is the use of an external riser (13) connected to and extending upwardly from the junction of said tube (8) and said connector (9), said riser (13) being used as a temporary reservoir in which the level of molten metal is regulated by controlling the gas pressure (in 7) in said furnace (5) in such a manner, that the filling head, defined as the difference in level between the metal in the casting cavities (2) and that in the external riser (13), is kept constant or made to vary in a desired manner, e.g. so as to cause the level in the cavities to ascend at a substantially constant rate. The invention makes it $i(inter alia) possible to produce high-quality aluminium castings in sand moulds, e.g. using automatic foundry equipment of the DISAMATIC$m(3) type.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un système de moulage d'objets métalliques dans des cavités (2) de moules (1) raccordées à un four (5) sous pression de remplissage des moules via un tube d'alimentation (8) et un connecteur (9), dont la principale innovation est l'emploi d'un tube montant extérieur (13), branché sur la jonction entre le tube d'alimentation et le connecteur, et servant de réservoir temporaire dans lequel le niveau du métal en fusion est régulé par la pression du gaz (dans la partie 7) du four de manière à ce que la hauteur de remplissage correspondant à la différence de niveau entre le métal des cavités (2) de moulage et celui du tube montant extérieur (13) reste constante ou varie de manière programmée, par exemple pour obtenir une vitesse ascensionnelle sensiblement constante du métal dans les cavités. L'invention permet notamment de produire des moulages d'aluminium de haute qualité dans des moules de sable, par exemple à l'aide des équipements automatiques de fonderie du type DISAMATIC$m(3).
