Abstract:
(EN) Disclosed is a vibration damper for elongate objects, the damper comprising a strip of metal formed into a first helix to form a gripping section having a diameter selected to grip the elongate object, and a second helix of a wider diameter selected to interfere and damp vibrations of the elongate object. Also disclosed is a method of making such a vibration damper, comprising the use of apparatus capable of making helixes and of selectively varying the diameter of the helix during production of a single article.
(FR) La présente invention se rapporte à un amortisseur de vibrations pour objets oblongs, comprenant une bande métallique transformée en une première hélice afin d'obtenir une section de préhension dont le diamètre est choisi de manière à serrer l'objet oblong, et une seconde hélice d'un diamètre plus large choisi pour arrêter et amortir les vibrations dudit objet. Cette invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication de ce type d'amortisseur consistant à utiliser un appareil capable de fabriquer des hélices et de faire varier sélectivement leur diamètre pendant la production d'un seul article.
