Abstract:
(EN) Optical cavities in a stacked organic light emitting device (SOLEDs) can shift or attenuate the light emitted by the individual organic light emitting devices (OLEDs) in the stack. Interference caused by reflections within the stack, absorption, positioning of the light source, and the polarization of the emitted light can all determine how the spectra of the emitted light are affected by the SOLED structure. A detailed model that provides a good fit to measured SOLED emissions can be used to predict how a SOLED will affect light emitted by OLEDs. As a result, SOLED geometries that will optimize color saturation and external quantum efficiency can be predicted.
(FR) Des cavités optiques pratiquées dans une pile de DEL organiques (SOLED) peuvent décaler ou atténuer la lumière émise par les DEL organiques isolées (OLED). Les interférences causées par les réflexions intérieures à la pile, l'absorption, le positionnement de la source lumineuse, et la polarisation de la lumière émise, sont autant de facteurs déterminant la façon dont les spectres de la lumière émise peuvent être modifiée par la structure de la pile. On peut utiliser un modèle détaillé bien adapté aux émissions mesurées des SOLED pour prédire comment ils influent sur la lumière émise par les OLED, et ainsi définir les géométries donnant les meilleurs résultats en matière de saturation de couleurs et d'efficacité du quantum extérieur.
