Abstract:
(EN) Liquid crystal modulating elements (925R, G, B) are so arranged that the light-emerging surfaces (9252R, G, B) thereof are opposed to light-entering surfaces (911R, G, B) of a color combining prism (910). Transparent plates (970R, G, B) are respectively stuck to the light-emerging surfaces (925R, G, B). This prevents dust from adhering to the light-emerging surfaces (9252R, G, B), and also prevents the reflection of light due to the difference in the refractance at the interface between the light-emerging surfaces (9252R, G, B) and the air. Therefore, an image of a high quality can be projected without deteriorating the switching characteristics of the liquid crystal modulating elements (925R, G and B), since the light-emerging surfaces (9252R, G and B) are not contaminated.
(FR) Des éléments modulateurs (925R, V, B) à cristaux liquides sont agencés de manière que leurs surfaces (9252R, V, B) de sortie de lumière soient opposées à des surfaces (911R, V, B) d'entrée de lumière d'un prisme (910) de combinaison chromatique. Des plaques transparentes (970R, V, B) sont plaquées respectivement sur les surfaces (9252R, V, B) de sortie de lumière.
