Abstract:
(EN) A method of reducing the effect of a contaminated environment on a rotating optical element (11) of a scanning assembly. The method comprises supplying substantially uncontaminated gas into a region (17, 22) adjacent to rotating optical element (11) thereby causing any contamination in the region to be displaced away from the rotating optical element.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de réduire l'action d'un environnement contaminé sur un élément optique rotatif (11) d'un ensemble de balayage. Ce procédé consiste à introduire un gaz sensiblement non contaminé dans une zone (17, 22) jouxtant l'élément optique rotatif (11), de manière à le débarrasser de toute contamination présente dans ladite zone.
