Abstract:
(EN) This invention pertains to the general field of chemical and biological assays which employ electrochemiluminescence (ECL), also referred to as electrogenerated chemiluminescence. More particularly, the present invention pertains to certain classes of chemical moieties which strongly quench ECL, and the use of these ECL quenchers in combination with ECL labels, for example, in ECL assay methods which employ an ECL quencher and an ECL label. One class of such quenching moieties are those which comprise at least one benzene moiety. Sub-classes of such quenching moieties are those which comprise at least one phenol moiety, quinone moiety, benzene carboxylic acid, and/or benzene carboxylate moiety.
(FR) L'invention concerne le domaine général des essais chimiques et biologiques utilisant l'électrochimioluminescence (ECL), également appelée élecrophotochimie. L'invention porte plus particulièrement sur certaines classes de fractions chimiques qui exercent une forte activité d'extinction sur l'ECL, et sur l'utilisation de ces extincteurs d'ECL en combinaison avec des marqueurs d'ECL par exemple, dans des méthodes d'ECL utilisant un marqueur et un extincteur d'ECL. Une de ces classes de fractions d'extincteurs est formée par des fraction comprenant au moins une partie benzène. Les sous-classes de ces fractions d'extinction sont formées de fractions qui comprennent au moins un partie phénol, une partie quinone, une partie acide benzène-carboxylique et/ou benzène-carboxylate.
