Abstract:
(EN) This invention concerns a process for the recovery of metal from waste of metal polluted by organic material, such as aluminium bearing beverage and food containers, whereby the waste is heated to a temperature which is below the melting point of the metal, but is sufficiently high for the removal of the organic material, in a fluidised bed of granules, in the presence of an oxidising gas, whereby the oxidising gas contains 6-21 volume % of oxygen, and the residence time of the waste in the fluidised bed is maximum 15 minutes. These treatment conditions prevent metal loss by oxidation.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de récupération de métal de déchets constitués de métal pollué par des matières organiques, tels que des récipients alimentaires et à boisson, contenant de l'aluminium. Ledit procédé consiste à porter lesdits déchets à une température inférieure au point de fusion du métal mais suffisamment élevée pour permettre la récupération de la matière organique, dans un lit fluidisé de granules, en présence d'un gaz oxydant, lequel contient 6 à 21 % volume d'oxygène, le temps de séjour des déchets dans le lit fluidisé étant d'au maximum 15 minutes. Ces conditions de traitement empêchent la perte de métal par oxydation.
