Abstract:
(EN) The present invention is an improved solid state polymer devolatilization process which comprises heating a wet feed mixture comprising polymer, residual monomer(s), process solvents and active catalyst residues in the presence of an inert gas, wherein the improvement comprises replacing the inert gas with a catalyst desactivating gas.
(FR) Cette invention a trait à un procédé de dégagement de matière volatiles d'un polymère en phase solide consistant à chauffer un mélange d'apport humide comportant un polymère, un ou des monomères résiduels, des solvants de procédé et des résidus catalytiques actifs en présence d'un gaz inerte. L'amélioration apportée par l'invention consiste dans le remplacement du gaz inerte par un gaz de neutralisation catalytique.
