Abstract:
(EN) Method of coating a metallic substrate (1) with thermoplastic coating material, comprising a preheating the substrate in such as way that, just prior to coating, it is at a temperature between 70 °C and 150 °C, preferably between 100 °C and 130 °C in the case of a coating containing polypropene and between 80 and 110 °C in the case of a coating containing polyethene; coextrusion, in the first coating station of a sheet (6) comprising a polyolefin covering layer and a modified polyolefin adhesion layer; coating of the substrate (1) with a molten sheet in the presence of ozone by pressing it with the adhesion layer against the surface of the substrate; transportation of the strip (9) coated on one side to a second coating station and heating the strip so that, just before coating, the strip is at a temperature between 70 °C and 130 °C, preferably between 80 °C and 120 °C, if the coating layer applied in the first coating station is polypropene and between 80 and 110 °C if the coating layer applied at that point is polyethene; coating of the substrate with a molten sheet extruded in the second coating station by pressing it against the uncoated surface of the substrate, use being made of the presence of ozone; heating of the coated substrate so that it assumes a temperature which is above the melting point of the polyolefins applied; cooling of the coated substrate.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé pour recouvrir un substrat (1) métallique à l'aide d'un matériau de revêtement thermoplastique. Ce procédé consiste à préchauffer le substrat de manière à l'amener, juste avant l'application du revêtement, à une température comprise entre 70 et 150 °C, de préférence, entre 100 et 130 °C dans le cas d'un revêtement à base de polypropylène et entre 80 et 110 °C dans le cas d'un revêtement à base de polyethylène. Ce procédé consiste également à coextruder, dans un premier poste d'application de revêtement, une feuille (6) comprenant une couche de couverture de polyoléfine et une couche d'adhésion de polyoléfine modifiée; à recouvrir le substrat (1) avec une feuille fondue en présence d'ozone, en la comprimant avec la couche d'adhésion contre la surface du substrat; à transporter la bande recouverte d'un côté à un deuxième poste d'application de revêtement et à chauffer la bande (9) pour que sa température, juste avant l'application du revêtement, se situe entre 70 et 130 °C, de préférence, entre 80 et 120 °C, si la couche de revêtement appliquée dans le premier poste est du polypropylène et entre 80 et 110 °C lorsque la couche de revêtement appliquée à ce point est du polyéthylène. Ce procédé consiste ensuite à recouvrir le substrat avec une feuille fondue extrudée dans le deuxième poste en la comprimant contre la surface non recouverte du substrat, en présence d'ozone; puis à chauffer le substrat jusqu'à ce que sa température soit supérieure au point de fusion des polyoléfines appliquées, et enfin à refroidir le substrat revêtu.
