Abstract:
(EN) This invention relates to a novel microfluidic device and methods of using this device to conduct $i(in vitro) studies on the reaction and effects of various compounds on cells. More particularly, it relates to a method for using stop flow in a microfluidic system to study the effect of compounds on individual cells. It also provides a method for observing the effects of candidate compounds on leukocyte rolling.
(FR) L'invention concerne un nouveau dispositif microfluidique, ainsi que des méthodes permettant de l'utiliser pour effectuer des études $i(in vitro) sur la réaction et les effets de divers composés sur les cellules. Elle concerne plus particulièrement une méthode selon laquelle on utilise un arrêt d'écoulement dans un système microfluidique pour étudier l'effet desdits composés sur les cellules individuelles. Elle concerne également une méthode permettant d'observer les effets de composés candidats sur le roulement des leucocytes.
