Abstract:
(EN) Sulfurous gas streams comprising hydrogen sulfide and carbon disulfide, such as produced as a by-product of the rayon-forming process, are processed to recover the components in a useable form. The gas stream first is contacted with an aqueous sodium hydroxide to dissolve out hydrogen sulfide and some of the carbon disulfide. The dissolved carbon disulfide is driven off from the solution and condensed as a liquid concentrate. Carbon disulfide receiving in the gas stream is recovered, such as by condensation. The aqueous sodium sulfide solution which remains is concentrated and the pH is adjusted, as necessary, to a value at which the sodium sulfide is predominantly in the form of sodium bisulfide. The concentrated sodium bisulfide solution is capable of reuse in the rayon-forming process along with the liquid concentrate of carbon disulfide.
(FR) On traite les flux de gaz sulfureux renfermant de l'hydrogène sulfuré et du disulfure de carbone, tels que ceux constituant les sous-produits du procédé de fabrication de la rayonne, afin de récupérer leurs composants sous une forme utilisable. On met en contact le flux gazeux avec un hydroxyde de sodium aqueux, de façon à dissoudre l'hydrogène sulfuré et une partie du disulfure de carbone. On retire le disulfure de carbone dissous de la solution et on le condense de façon à obtenir un concentré liquide. On récupère le disulfure de carbone contenu dans le flux gazeux, par condensation par exemple. On concentre la solution de sulfure de sodium restante et on règle son pH, de la manière nécessaire, sur une valeur à laquelle le sulfure de sodium se présente principalement sous forme de disulfure de sodium. On peut réutiliser la solution de bisulfite de sodium concentrée dans le procédé de fabrication de la rayonne en même temps que le concentré liquide de disulfure de carbone.
