Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to the field of transplantation, specifically to the field of transplantation of isolated cells. The invention provides a method to allow cell transplantation as a method to replace organ transplantation. Anti-integrin (poly)peptides significantly block attachment of cells to both vessel walls and tissue in an $i(in vitro) binding assay. Blocking of integrins by incubation with blocking (poly)peptides significantly decreases the number of cellular aggregates after $i(in vivo) cell transplantation, and has a significant increasing effect on cellular homing in the recipient tissue. Blocking of integrin strongly improves transplanted cell survival in the recipient tissue after transplantation.
(FR) L'invention concerne le domaine de la transplantation, en particulier, de cellules isolées. Elle concerne un procédé permettant d'effectuer la transplantation de cellules afin de remplacer la transplantation d'organes. Des polypeptides anti-intégrine bloquent considérablement la fixation de cellules à la fois aux parois et au tissu des vaisseaux dans un essai de liaison spécifique $i(in vitro). Le blocage des intégrines par incubation accompagnée de blocage des polypeptides diminue considérablement le nombre d'agrégats cellulaires après une transplantation cellulaire $i(in vivo) et exerce un effet d'augmentation importante du retour cellulaire dans le tissu récepteur. Le blocage de l'intégrine améliore fortement la survie des cellules transplantées dans le tissu récepteur après la transplantation.
