(EN)This invention provides a method for increasing the ascorbic acid concentration in brain tissues of a subject which comprises administering to the subject an amount of dehydroascorbic acid effective to increase the concentration of ascorbic acid in brain tissues. This invention also provides that the dehydroascorbic acid enters the tissues through the facilitative glucose transporter.
(FR)Cette invention concerne un procédé permettant d'augmenter la concentration d'acide ascorbique dans les tissus cérébraux d'un individu. Ce procédé consiste à administrer à l'individu une quantité d'acide déhydroascorbique efficace pour augmenter la concentration d'acide ascorbique dans les tissus cérébraux. Cette invention stipule également que l'acide déhydroascorbique pénètre dans les tissus par l'intermédiaire du vecteur de transport du glucose.
