Abstract:
(EN) A composite for retarding microbiological contamination containing a hydrophobic material containing an acid releasing agent, and a hydrophilic material containing anions that are capable of reacting with hydronium ions to generate gas. The hydrophilic and hydrophobic materials are adjacent and substantially free of water, and the hydrophilic material is capable of generating and releasing the gas after hydrolysis of the acid releasing agent.
(FR) Ce composite, qui permet de retarder la contamination microbienne, renferme, d'une part un matériau hydrophobe contenant un agent dégageant un acide, et d'autre part un matériau hydrophile contenant des anions qui sont capables de réagir sur des ions hydronium de façon à produire un gaz. Le matériau hydrophile et le matériau hydrophobe, qui sont disposés l'un sur l'autre, sont sensiblement déshydratés. Le matériau hydrophile est capable de produire et de dégager le gaz après hydrolyse de l'agent dégageant un acide.
