Abstract:
(EN) A low noise, wide tuning bandwidth, voltage controlled oscillator employs a resonator circuit formed from at least two microstrip lines (42, 44) which are electromagnetically coupled to one another. Each of the microstrip lines (42, 44) has one end electrically coupled to circuit ground to provide a substantially inductive resonator circuit which is substantially immune to parasitic end effects and radiation losses. The frequency of the voltage controled oscillator is controlled by a variable capacitance varactor diode (43) coupled to at least one of the microstrip transmission lines (42). The resonator circuit (42, 43, 44) is well suited for use with a bipolar transistor (70) configured as a negative resistance oscillator.
(FR) Un oscillateur commandé en tension, à large bande d'accord des fréquences et à faible bruit, emploie un circuit de résonateur formé à partir d'au moins deux lignes microruban (42, 44) qui sont couplées électriquement l'une à l'autre. Chacune des lignes microruban (42, 44) comporte une extrémité couplée électriquement à la masse du circuit pour permettre d'obtenir un circuit de résonateur sensiblement inductif, qui est sensiblement protégé contre des effets parasites d'extrémité et des pertes de rayonnements. La fréquence de l'oscillateur commandé en tension est commandée par une diode varactor (43) à capacité variable couplée à au moins une des lignes de transmission (42) microruban. Le circuit de résonateur (42, 43, 44) convient bien pour une utilisation avec un transistor bipolaire (70) configuré comme oscillateur à résistance négative.
