Abstract:
(EN) A computer controlled system determines the three-dimensional trajectory of a ballistic projectile. To initialize the system, predictions of state parameters for a ballistic projectile are received at an estimator (32). The estimator uses the predictions of the state parameters to estimate first trajectory characteristics of the ballistic projectile. A single stationary monocular sensor (30) then observers the actual first trajectory characteristics of the ballistic projectile. A comparator (36) generates an error value related to the predicted state parameters by comparing the estimated first trajectory characteristics of the ballistic projectile with the observed first trajectory characteristics of the ballistic projectile. If the error value is equal to or greater than a selected limit, the predictions of the state parameters are adjusted. New estimates for the trajectory characteristics of the ballistic projectile are made and are then compared with actual observed trajectory characteristics. This process is repeated until the error value is less than the selected limit. Once the error value is less than the selected limit, a calculator (40) calculates trajectory characteristics such as the origin and destination of the ballistic projectile.
(FR) Ce système commandé par ordinateur détermine la trajectoire en trois dimensions d'un projectile balistique. Des prévisions de paramètres d'état relatifs à un projectile balistique sont reçues sur un estimateur (32) et ce, en vue d'initialiser le système. Cet estimateur utilise les prévisions de paramètres d'état pour obtenir des valeurs estimatives de premières caractéristiques de la trajectoire du projectile balistique. Un seul capteur monoculaire stationnaire (30) observe alors les premières caractéristiques réelles de la trajectoire du projectile balistique. Un comparateur (36) génère une valeur d'erreur en rapport avec les paramètres d'état prévus par comparaison des premières caractéristiques estimées de la trajectoire du projectile balistique aux premières caractéristiques observées de la trajectoire du projectile balistique. Si la valeur d'erreur est égale ou supérieure à une limite choisie, les prévisions des paramètres d'état sont adaptées. Il est procédé à l'établissement de nouvelles valeurs estimatives des caractéristiques de la trajectoire du projectile balistique, valeurs que l'on compare aux caractéristiques réelles observées. On réitère cette procédure jusqu'à l'obtention d'une valeur d'erreur inférieure à la limite choisie. Un fois cette valeur acquise, une calculatrice (40) calcule des caractéristiques de trajectoire telles que le point d'origine du projectile balistique et sa destination.
