Abstract:
(EN) The port-controlled two-stroke engine (1) comprises a combustion chamber (8), a crankcase (2) containing a combustible mixture, a cylinder (5), a piston (15) working in the cylinder (5), an intake duct (17) terminating in an intake port (18) in the cylinder wall for delivering the combustible mixture to the engine (1), and at least one flywheel rotatively mounted in the crankcase (2) about an axis of rotation. The rotation of the flywheel acts to drive the boundary layer of the combustible mixture immediately adjacent the periphery of the flywheel around the periphery. The engine (1) further comprises a transfer passage (21), extending from a first transfer port (22) in the cylinder wall adjacent the crankcase (2) to a second tranfer port (23) in the cylinder wall adjacent the combustion chamber (8), for conveying the combustible mixture from the crankcase (2) to the combustion chamber (8), the first transfer port (22) being substantially radially located with respect to the axis of rotation.
(FR) L'invention concerne un moteur (1) à deux temps commandé au niveau des lumières, qui comprend une chambre (8) de combustion, un carter (2) contenant un mélange combustible, un cylindre (5), un piston (15) se déplaçant dans le cylindre (5), un conduit (17) d'admission se terminant par une lumière d'admission (18) ménagée dans la paroi du cylindre et permettant d'acheminer le mélange combustible dans le moteur (1) et au moins un volant monté rotatif dans le carter (2) et pivotant autour d'un axe de rotation. La rotation du volant permet d'entraîner la couche limite du mélange combustible immédiatement adjacente à la périphérie du volant sur la périphérie. Le moteur (1) comprend également un passage (21) de transfert qui s'étend d'une première lumière (22) de transfert dans la paroi du cylindre au voisinage du carter (2) à une seconde lumière (23) de transfert dans la paroi du cylindre au voisinage de la chambre (8) de combustion. Ledit passage (21) est destiné à transporter le mélange combustible du carter (2) dans la chambre (8) de combustion, la première lumière (22) de transfert étant placée de manière sensiblement radiale par rapport à l'axe de rotation.
