Abstract:
(EN) A rubber reduction and recycling system (20) with dramatically reduced power requirements. The present invention provides a series of reduction stations (32, 38, 50) which successively reduce the size of the rubber (24) typically in the form of tires (24), to eventually result in crumb rubber (26). The power requirements are dramatically reduced by providing a fixed cutting plate (72) through which the teeth (66) of the cutting apparatus pass and cut the rubber (24) in a shearing fashion. Moreover, the teeth (66) of the cutting apparatus pass through the fixed cutting plate (72) at an angular disposition so that at any given point, a relatively small portion of the rubber (24) is being cut and thereby consuming power. Finally, the power consumption is reduced by providing the teeth (66) on rotating shafts (60, 62) in a plurality of series of arcuate patterns. Therefore, at any given time, only a relatively small number of teeth (66) in each series cut at the same time and thereby require power.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système (20) de réduction et de recyclage de caoutchouc permettant de réduire considérablement la consommation d'énergie requise. La présente invention prévoit une série de postes de réduction (32, 38, 50) permettant de réduire successivement les dimensions du caoutchouc (24), généralement sous forme de pneus (24), de façon à obtenir finalement des miettes de caoutchouc (26). L'énergie requise est considérablement réduite grâce à une plaque de coupe (72) fixe à travers laquelle les dents (66) de l'appareil de coupe passent et coupent le caoutchouc (24) par cisaillement. De plus, les dents (66) de l'appareil de coupe passent à travers la plaque de coupe (72) fixe en biais de façon qu'en tout point donné, une partie relativement petite de caoutchouc (24) est coupée, ce qui se répercute sur la consommation de courant. Finalement, la consommation de courant est réduite grâce à des dents (66) prévues sur des arbres rotatifs (60, 62) dans plusieurs séries de motifs arqués. Par conséquent, en tout temps, seul un nombre relativement petit de dents (66) de chaque série coupent simultanément, ce qui entraîne une consommation moindre de courant.
