Abstract:
(EN) A sealed lead-acid cell (20) and a positive plate (10) for a sealed lead-acid battery are provided. The positive plate (10) comprises a grid supporting structure (14) having a layer of active material (18) pasted thereto, the grid supporting structure (14) comprising a lead-based alloy consisting essentially of lead, from about 0.02 % to about 0.05 % calcium, from about 1.5 % to about 3 % tin, and from about 0.01 % to about 0.05 % silver. A positive plate in accordance with the invention has excellent mechanical properties, and is satisfactory for use in a lead-acid cell.
(FR) L'invention a trait un accumulateur au plomb scellé (20) ainsi qu'à une plaque positive (10) pour accumulateur au plomb scellé (20). La plaque positive (10) comporte une structure de support à grille (14) pourvue d'une couche rapportée de matériau actif (18). Cette structure (14) consiste en un alliage à base de plomb essentiellement constitué d'environ 0,02 à environ 0,5 % de calcium, d'environ 1,5 à environ 3 % d'étain et d'environ 0,01 à environ 0,05 % d'argent. La plaque positive de l'invention, qui fait preuve de remarquables propriétés mécaniques, est avantageusement utilisée dans le cadre de la fabrication d'accumulateurs au plomb.
