Abstract:
(EN) Method and apparatus for measuring oil quality based on the permittivity of the oil comprising a capacitive or radiative sensor (22) for exposure to the oil, and an oscillator circuit including the sensor (22), characterised in that the oscillator circuit comprises an LC or crystal oscillator which provides an output signal, the amplitude of which is dependent upon the lossiness Tan$g(d) of the oil, and measuring means that responds to be amplitude of said output signal as a measure of oil quality.
(FR) Procédé et dispositif servant à mesurer la qualité d'une huile en fonction de la permittivité de l'huile et consistant en un capteur capacitif ou radiatif (22) conçu pour être exposé à l'huile, ainsi qu'un circuit oscillateur comprenant le capteur (22), caractérisés par le fait que le circuit oscillateur comprend un oscillateur à quartz ou à cristaux liquides produisant un signal de sortie, dont l'amplitude dépend de la caractéristique de perte Tan$g(d) de l'huile, et des moyens de mesure réagissant à l'amplitude dudit signal de sortie, ce qui indique la mesure de la qualité de l'huile.
