Title: DEVICE FOR DETECTING BIOMOLECULES AND DISSOLVED SUBSTANCES IN LIQUIDS
Abstract:
A device for detecting biomolecules and dissolved substances in liquids has a sampling system (3) which can be brought into direct contact with a liquid to be analysed inside a container, in particular a bioreactor, and an analysis unit (8). In particular, a device of a new type is disclosed for qualitatively and quantitatively determining biomolecules and dissolved substances in liquids used in sterile processes and representing a compact combination of a sampling system and an analysis unit which allows samples to be measured as soon as they are collected, at the same time reducing the risk of infection to a minimum. The device is useful in all fields in which biological processes, in particular biotechnological and enzymatic production processes, are involved, and in which strict sterility requirements are applied. The invention is particularly advantageous in the foodstuff, pharmaceutical and chemical industry, for processes of environmental biotechnology and production of active substances by means of recombinant cells and enzymes.
