Abstract:
(EN) A heat transfer apparatus (2) that uses an adsorbent material (10) to generate a cooling effect. The heat transfer apparatus (2) includes a first vessel (4) containing adsorbent material (10) and a second vessel (6) interconnected to the first (4). A working substance is contained within the two interconnected vessels (4, 6). The working substance is drawn as a vapor out of the second vessel (6) and toward the first vessel (4) to cool the second vessel (6). A separator device (430) separates at least part of the vapor passing from the second vessel (6) toward the first vessel (4) to delay the point at which the adsorbent material (10) in the first vessel (4) becomes saturated with vapor. The adsorbent material (10) may include a carbon fiber (613, 910) that desorbs the working substance when electrical current is passed therethrough. The carbon fiber (613) may also be positioned within a container (600) to displace fluid in the container (600) when the carbon fiber is desorbed.
(FR) L'invention concerne un appareil (2) de transfert thermique utilisant un matériau (10) adsorbant afin de produire un effet de refroidissement. Cet appareil (2) de transfert thermique comprend une première cuve (4) contenant ledit matériau (10) adsorbant, et une seconde cuve (6) reliée à la première (4), ces deux cuves (4, 6) contenant un fluide de travail. Ce fluide de travail est aspiré sous forme de vapeur de la seconde cuve (6) pour être envoyé vers la première cuve (4), ce qui refroidit ladite seconde cuve (6). Un dispositif (430) séparateur permet de séparer au moins une partie de la vapeur qui passe de la seconde (6) à la première cuve (4), pour retarder ainsi le moment auquel ledit matériau (10) adsorbant contenu dans ladite première cuve (4) est saturé en vapeur. Ce matériau (10) adsorbant peut renfermer une fibre de carbone (613, 910) qui désorbe le fluide de travail lorsqu'un courant électrique traverse ledit matériau adsorbant. Cette fibre de carbone (613) peut en outre être placée à l'intérieur d'un récipient (600) fin de déplacer le fluide à l'intérieur de ce récipient (600), lorsque ladite fibre de carbone désorbée.
